I agree with you that the Browns will pick Peterson with the 3rd pick for several reasons. One, the Browns have holes in several positions such as OL, DL and RB, but they will go after the best man in the best position to improve the team. That man is undoubtably Peterson. Although the team was considering DT Alan Branch of Michigan, they will not pass up the opportunity to draft a real playmaker of his calibre.

If Detroit takes Quinn, I see Cleveland taking Joe Thomas. He's not the flashy pick, but without a good O-Line, Adrian Peterson or whoever the Browns lineup at RB will struggle. The Jets made a similar choice with D'Brickashaw and Mangold last year in the first round, and they made the playoffs with a group of no-name RB's. Now they can build off that. I expect Cleveland to go in the same direction.

I think Adrian Peterson would be the smart pick. Problem is that I have also heard that Brady (because he is a local kid) and the QB position is up in the air can be the pick if he is there. Cleveland could also use an OT and Joe Thomas if Det passes on him would be hard to pass up after his great showing at the Combines. Lastly, B Edwards is showing attitute and given Johnson, WR from Geo Tech, is another L Fitzgerald, might be the pick. I have not heard of them trying to trade the pick, so I think they will use it on one of the 4 players (A Peterson (most likely), Joe Thomas, Brady or Johnson from Geo Tech).

Peterson would be the best pick for the Browns this year, BUT, they will end up picking someone else. They always do, if that team is consistant at anything, it's shockingly bad drafts. And in their division (The Toughest in the NFL) ((AFC North)), they need the ultimate draft to be able to compete with The up and coming Bengals, the SB40 Champs Steelers, and a Raven team better than I ever remembered.

The Browns are not going to draft Brady Quinn. If Joe Thomas, the offensive line man from Wisconsin, is still there...they should take him...otherwise, Peterson is an excellent pick

I feel bad for both Adrian and Brady Quinn. Imagine, having to deal with the thought that you might have to live in and play for Cleveland. And they have to think about it for a month and a half!

Poor guys...at least one of them will get to go to a REAL team.

Who cares? The Browns need to stop trying to pick a ringer, and just beef up the line and play good football. Tim Couches are never going to save the team. The Browns need some old-fashioned tough defense and competent offense before they will ever be good. One man can't save a poorly managed football team.

i agree. Crennel and Ozzie Newsom are both close to being fired, and they neeed to take a guy who can play right away to save their jobs. Personally i think they'd be better off taking Calvin Johnson if available, or going after Brady Quinn.
