One bad effect that I see from cell phones are when people are driving and yapping away. I think this is very dangerous. Every time I see someone talking on a cell phone, I try to stay as far away from them as possible. They are an accident waiting to happen. Just my opinion.

We have become too accessible. People used to be satisfied with just leaving a message on your machine and you would get back to them at your convienence. Today, people have become so dependent on their cell phones. They literally can not function without them. I think they are bad when they become a distraction. When people use them when they are driving and not paying attention to the road and when people use them in places were we need silence such as movie theaters and libraries. People laugh and call me old school because I only use my cell phone for true emergencies and ask my friends to call me on my land line if they need to contact me.

It can cause cancerous growth of cells in the ear area. Also if one talks on the phone before going to bed, certain waves of the phone affect certain brainwaves causing the brain not to get enough rest.
