Why are so many people hating on the American culture? It's actually pretty cool living here, and people are pretty nice. I have been to many places(Caanada,Australia,UK,Europe) and no one has been as nice as Americans. And we have the coolest celebrities ever, and we have a culture that's has taken over the world. Every country has a little American to it. So why talk so bad about us? If you don't like us, why is our Beyonce,Justin Timberlake,PCD and many others selling out stadiums around the world....Something is right with us!

I don't think that people hate the Americans, but I think some people hate the Bush Government and that is what they really hate. I love America and I have been to America three times once to work a few years back and then last summer and the summer before I visited for a month and I found that Americans are generally very friendly helpful people and I made a lot of friends very quickly in America. I have also been visiting some Eastern European country and I found that especially the people in the Czech republic can be rude and out to get what they can, which I don't like even my Czech friend says that Czech people are rude, but I found the American people so polite, not so much in New York but everywhere else people went out of their way to help me out.
So if people don't like Americans it is because they don't like looking up to a powerful nation, all powerful nations can be hated. I am English and the English have been disliked in the past for being powerful, a country that has no power has no effect on other countries, so people don't feel frightened by them. Also we know more about powerful countries because they have an effect on us, not so powerful countries don't. So basically I think the Americans get picked on because they are the worlds most richest and powerful country and everyone is exposed to your culture through news and the media. Other countries are insignificant compared with America so no one cares about them.

I think you may have answered your own question there.

"...and we have the Coolest Celebrities ever, and we have a culture that's taken over the world. Every country has a little American to it..."

Do you not think that you've pinpointed the answer right there? I have no problems with American per se and I have no problem with American culture, however, I do not appreciate the bombardment of US influence on everything in the UK from politics to TV. I'm all for the Uk being a melting pot of ideas, people, religions etc I just have a problem with being overrun by one Country's culture. Just like any other country the US has many things right, but equally you have to accept that it has many things wrong too, and some people don't like to be invaded or overrun with American influences.

I was brought up in a fine Christian home.and even though some Negros robbed me and kicked me till my ribs broke and punctured my lung, and a gang of them cut my Friends throat and all over his body and he was in his wheelchair at the end of the street bothering no one,I refuse to hate.
Hate is a terrible thing it will eat a person up.
The Muslims don't like it that were trying to change there culture which is not any of our business, every culture has a right to be the way they or.If people would accept the spirit of God in their lifes there wouldnt be hate, this spirit is here for anyone who wishes it. it will come into a person a change them if the want it, you have to have faith and love though for it to come into you and most people dont have faith or love.all i can do is pray Y'all.and show my love to this world as best I can

I think you are taking this 'hating' thing way over the top.
There are many folk from all over the world that really do hate, not only hate Americans but all nationalites, including their own, but no need for you to listen to these nutters or to take it to heart.
Most of what you read here on this forum is all 'tongue in cheek ' stuff.
Like 'big fat Americans' 'Brits have rotten teeth' etc etc.
Jut laugh it off, it means nothing at all.

I am English and ashamed of some of the responses my fellow English men give. We don't all hate Americans, I think you have a lovely country with really friendly people that are always so welcoming to us English.
I think people forget that we are sister countries that fight wars together.
I await the thumbs down from my narrow minded English men!

Americans have an attitude, if I have a nice car they have two nice cars.
They think the rest of the world should revolve around them, pretty much like the English, Being confident is a good thing but over confidence is cocky.
The nicest people in the world is us Scots.

They hate us because we're better than them. The UK and France are over with, they are just extensions of the Islamic empire now. That's where America is different, and we will never fall because Americans will fight for their freedom and survival.

We have fought for what we have and deserve our greatness, and they are jealous of that. They hate us, but many are still literally dying to get here, aren't they. No one is in a hurry to leave. I spit on anyone who hates America, because we feed and finance most of the world, and we fight everyone else's wars. Without America, they are nothing.

They hate us because they are not like us.

By the way, I don't hate England, I'm just angry that they won't take their country back from the heathens. The French, on the other hand, have always been backstabbers, and deserve what they are getting.

I think most of the hate stuff comes from a relatively few nutters.
