MAJOR INSIGHT...There is a huge difference between FEELING anger and ACTING OUT your anger.

The BEST thing you can do to manage your anger is get in the habit of DOING NOTHING for about 5 minutes when you feel anger. Use that time to
1. Calm down
2. Think about what you might say or do that would bring you the most benefit in the long run.
This will help you express your anger in acceptable ways. Most of the time, you'll discover you don't have to express it at all, just accept what happened and walk away.

This is NOT your pattern right now. But you can make it your pattern by practicing it over time.

Ask the school for help in anger management, they can show you some very effective way to control the anger and frustration you feel. They will also take into consideration the fact that you are serious about learning to control this now before it messes up your life. You don't get suspended from a job for hitting someone, you get fired, you go to jail if you hit your wife or kids, anger is a tough emotion to get a hold of so work on it now while the consequences are relatively light.

He hit you and you hit back. That's understandable. But, he's a "special" child and you hit 3 times versus his 1 time. So now you're suspended.

Do you have an issue with him being "special?"

Anger IN THE MOMENT is often a combination of your anger right now and your anger of the past You were angry about several things (not making the catch and being hit) and you just reacted.

One good way to get rid of past and present anger is to use EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) or Emotional Tapping. EFT is easy to learn (you can learn the basics in 15-30 minutes). You can use EFT anytime, anywhere for any emotional or physical issue.

Please download the FREE EFT Instructional manual from the EFT website (www.emofree.com).

I learned how to use EFT last year and now use it everyday. EFT really works - ONE TECHNIQUE YOU COULD HAVE USED DURING THE GAME to keep your stress levels low would have been just TAPPING LIGHTLY ON THE SIDE OF EITHER HAND.

It's not your fault honey.
Isn't that what you wanted to hear. That's the problem. You've heard that so many times you believe it. It IS your fault you spoiled little brat. If your mother had any guts she would tell you that, and slap the hell out of you for thinking you are so special. You're not special. You only act like it. You are unhappy now and you will be for life if you don't catch on.
Don't you see what really happened. you screwed up so you found someone weaker than you to blame.

Look at the answers above mine. They are trying to make it OK too. It's not OK and you can't reform without recognizing you were wrong.

your testosterone is raging at that age. Just stop. Take a break and count to 10 before acting. Also, working out will help you learn to contriol the testoterone surge you get when angry.

I too have a terrible temper and you need to get it under control before you do something worse. It's a challenge for folks like us.

Wow! You hit a 'special' child? You first need to understand that he does not know what he is doing! second, think before you do. Breathing helps and if you need time alone to calm down, ask the teacher.

when you feel that anger welling up inside you think about how unpleasant it feels. every time you feel it start to put your mind on something pleasant.for example;your favourite thing to do, a happy time in your life, some thing that makes you laugh. this will take a lot of discipline, but you can be strong and persistent then it will become second nature to you

I suggest you see a Counselor to find out where that rage is coming from. ASAP. You're gonna get yourself in big trouble if you don't. Good luck.

Take it out on someone who is powerless over you. You chose the right person, but you need to make sure it isn't seen and can't be proved.
