Do you think that Mitt Romney is the best so far for the Republicans? What are his views on abortion and gay marriage?

Republican Mitt Romney is against both abortion and gay marriage. While some accuse him of being a "flip-flopper", most of these people do not know all the facts.
During the period when abortion was not a legal procedure, one of his close relatives died from it. Now if you were in this position, wouldn't you want abortion to be a safe and legal procedure, if it were to exist at all? That changes it for you, dosen't it?

Go Romney!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ron Paul is the best Republican Presidential Candidate. He is a doctor and formerly was a candidate in the libertarian party. He believes in limited government and the constitution. I'm not sure what his official stance is on abortion, but I believe he would feel that it isn't an issue for the federal government to decide. The same goes for Gay marriage. If anything it would be a personal choice or even a state's rights issue. Neither of those two topics is covered in the constitution, therefore, all powers not listed in there are directed to the people and the state.

Regardless of the fairness of such judgments, it seems unlikely that the American people will back a Mormon candidate, particularly from a party which claims fundamentalist Protestants as a notable portion of its base. In that respect, Romney has many problems with his candidacy.

He has openly opposed gay marriage in Massachusetts, where he is governor. In the face of public referendum, he has actively attempted to stop it at any turn he can. As for his record on abortion, he has waffled. He is against it right now, although he states that he will not move for abortion law change unless Roe v. Wade is overturned. The truth of the matter is, he won't really show his true colors on that issue unless he's elected.

Romney looks like a president and isn't as hardcore a conservative as most of the other republicans seeking their party's nomination are. He also will benefit from "brand loyalty" as his father, George, was a well known and highly successful politician and public figure. but even with all that, I can't imagine a republican winning the presidency in '08.

Ron Paul. His views on abortion is that he's pro-life. As for gay marriage, I think he'll stick to the Constitution and Bill of Rights on that and let the different states on their own policy. He's the only one who wants to bring our troops home. He's anti-war. He cares about freedom and the people of this country. Not policing it like a global empire to attain. He wants to abolish the Federal Reserve(since they are a private bank, and none of our income tax goes to anything but their pockets).

never heard of him.. i heard of republican Rudolph Giulani (however you spell it) and democrat hillary clinton running for president. if these two are the final candidates, i think this coming election will be a good one. I'm going to vote for hillary anyway because I think its nice to see a lady president finally.
