It depends on how the site is set up. If the people who set up the server on the back end want, they can make it so it works without the "www" but there is no requirement to do so.

It depends on the Server being run on the computer that is located using DNS records.

Basically, it depends on what website, almost all servers support www. now-a-days, including market leader Apache.org

it depends on the security level. My banks web page will not load without the www. for example

lol im sorry but it has nothing to do with sucurity resones lol it has to do with wat company they go through to get there website on the internet....also if they want it that way or not . they sometimes have a choice if the want you to put www. or not. Like i said depends on the company
