I had a terrible experience with gay person. I am a straight man. Before I entered a Dental School I used to work as a dental assistant in Manhattan,NY. After few days of work I found out that the detnist I used to work with is gay. Before that, I remembered , that couple times he came up to me from behind and hugged me very tight. I wanted to throw up. Later, I let him know that i have a girlfriend and we live together. Thus, he told me that he's been married for more than 20 years, he has three sons and he is going through divorce. Also, he's lived with his male-partner(boyfriend) for couple years. Aftewards, he brought his sister ( who is lesbian) to work at the office.
Before I told him that I have girlfriend I had no problems working with him, everything was great. After I told him about my girlfriend his attitude changed a lot (he became irritated very easily, sometimes he didn't want to talk....). In a month he told me that I have to leave the office due to lack of skills.

They shouldn't be jailed for lying. But it looks like you have a sexual harassment case on your hands. Good luck.

First, you can't choose one arbitrary type of lie and jail people for it.
Nor can you jail people for lying at all (unless it's under oath).
Second, assuming your story is true, the problem was that he was a sexual harasser -- that's wrong, gay or straight -- not that he pretended to be straight.
You're going after the wrong behavior.
Besides, it's attitudes toward gays that causes the lies.
As long as there are ugly, hateful, narrow-minded idiots who have sick attitudes toward gays, some gays will be in the closet.
They feel they have no choice, but must protect themselves from all the people who would harm them (by throwing them in jail for no good reason, for example).

No, no one should be jailed for hiding their sexual preferences. Acting "normal" when none of us are is not a crime, nor should it be. It simply sounds like you were let go because A) you lacked the skills for the job or B) your homophobia was obvious. Either way, move on.

If it were me today there are so many Medical jobs out there I'd just get another and close the book on that and mark it up as a bad experience.

Should straight people go to jail for being stupid and ignorant and intolerant and perhaps even a little afraid they liked the attention from a gay person?

I don't think that gay people should go to jail for lying or pretending to be straight, because everyone lies. But I do think the dentist you worked with was being unprofessional.

They cant go to jail because its part of free speech in this country of usa. Its also his free will to be gay. In your situation you can sue him for discrimination of sexual orientation. You have to prove that he told you to leave based of your sexuality insteaqd of you lack of skills

Whether heterosexual or homosexual if you tell someone you do not wish to be touched they need to honor that or you can file sexual harrassment charges against them. Be specific. Stating you have a girlfriend does not qualify here. You need to be direct and say " (His name) I would appreciate it if you do not touch me. Than if he does talk to whoever is in charge and tell them that you have asked him not to touch you and he continues. If they do nothing about it file a suit against both of them.

Why in heaven's name would you still want to work there anyway?
If you want to jail everybody for lying about their sexual peculiarities, there wouldn't be anybody left to guard us all.
