how can i insert a code for a banner into a scroll box so that it can be copied and used?

I have a scroll box already but everytime i try to insert the code it automatically puts the picture rather than the code. or when i try to put my contact box code for myspace for others to use, it doesn't work at all. Any help would be VERY MUCH appreciated. Thanks

I need a good code for a scroll box much like you find when they show you code for myspace as well as a way to insert the code into the box without it actually doing the code. does the > before and after the code actually work?

Replace the <'s and >'s with those to stop the code being displayed automatically.

REMOVE THE SPACE in them. I can't show it without the space as it automatically displays as an <.
