An Unidentified light-colored igneous rock is made up of orthoclase feldspar and quartz. To what Family of Igneous rocks does it belong? Explain your answer. (and please not to long)

From what you have described, I would infer that you are describing either an intrusive granitic rock or extrusive rhyolitic rock both free of plagioclase feldspar, but to correctly identity which type of granitic/rhyolitic rock it is, one must indicate the percentage of both quartz and orthoclase feldspar in the system

For example - Intrusive Granitic
50% Quartz, 50% K-Spar = Alkali Granite

For example - Extrusive Rhyolitic
10% Quartz, 90% K-Spar = Quartz K-Spar Trachyte

The felsic family cos it contains no ferromagnesian minerals and only orthoclase felspar, not plagioclase felspar.

I would place it in the Syenite family since it doesn't have any plagioclase feldspar in it. If it was a pegmatite, then I would put it in the Grano-diorite family.
