Every contestant I've seen on the show has a spouse and kid to support along with other family members there?
Are they hand-picked out for that reason? What about people who are single? They still have goals and dreams to. I do know that they have to audition for the show, that much I do know.
So would someone who's single with no spouse and kids be eligible to be a contestant on the show?

I think maybe they do descrimnate but u would still be eligable b/c you could bring friends and ppl that feel like family. and what about your parents?? Also, it could be that they choose those people with kids to support BECAUSE they need that money to support and family and not just themselves. But they probably do descriminate. Alos, there was a single guy on just yesterday. He was like some big WWE fan or something

Everyone is eligible. THey don't discriminate against singles. They choose the whackiest people they can find.

You never have just some bloke on his own. I suppose its the image of the family show that they want.

Good point..guess because they figure family person will do more with their win..not fair though..
