had my son 7 weeks ago and I was wondering how soon my period would come back or when I should expect it before we start to think we could be prego again since we werent thinking about that when we had sex after his birth. He is my first child and I do not breastfeed. Can anyone give me a ballpark or answer? Thanks!

I bled for about 3 weeks after giving birth to both of my sons and then I got my "real" period about 7 weeks later. My doctor said everyone is different, but it might be worth it for you to buy a home pregnancy test or you could call your OB and see what they think.
Good Luck!

After the initial bleeding goes, it is about 3-4 weeks later that your period comes back. You may want to give yourself some time though. I waited 6 months and it is tough having kids so close. The oldest is forced to grow up fast. But if you want a large family, get going...but most doctors recommend waiting 3 months.

You have your period about a month or so after but you can't get pregnant for about 2-4 months after giving birth.
Congrats and I hope you enjoy you little boy!
