A temp job has no security. You could be out of work for 6 months and you can't collect unemployment because technically you are still employed by the temp agency they just don't have assignments for you.

When you are ready to go back to work, call the temp agency and tell them that you are ready to work. They will find something for you if they liked your performance at past jobs.

I think you need to take this up with the temp agency. When you refer to your boss are you referring to your boss at the temp agency or the employer you are currently assigned to? The company that hired you as a temp has no obligation to keep you on after you have a child. They probably asked if you were having a c-section to see how long you would be on maternity leave. If you were only taking 6 weeks off for a normal delivery maybe they would consider holding your spot. However, if you are having a c-section you get more time off and they may not be able to accommodate that. I think it's unfortunate you chose to lie to them. While I understand you need a job, you are not thinking about the employer's needs. Just another reason to plan before you have a child. Then you could have made sure you were employed and would have a job after maternity leave.

I think you need to come clean with the temp agency and the boss you are now working for. Tell them you just found out that you need a c-section (is this your choice or medically necessary?). Explain to them that you really enjoy your job and hope that you can return after maternity leave. It's best to be honest about you desires and give them a chance to make plans for their business as well. Good luck!

You can fix your original question you didn’t have to re-post again.

Anyways, if you are working as a temp, meaning you are not a full employee yet, the company can fired you at any time with or without an excuse, even if you are pregnant.

Once the company has hired you officially, then is AGAINST THE LAW to fire you because you are pregnant or on maternity leave. They can hire a temp to replace you while you are out, but by law, they must give your job again when you are back, or an equivalent with same or better pay, and it must be something you can do, otherwise they must do training for you own their own expense.

I recommend you to find out your local laws and see if there is any law that can help you keep the temporary job if you are pregnant. Otherwise, be ready to look for another job.

Why is it his organization what variety of delivery you've? All he needs to understand is that you will be going out on an approved being pregnant/medical go away...in case you want a c-section then it truly is the way it is going. i'm particular your state has some guidelines you are able to lookup on the internet. The U.S. authorities link to the data is below. On yet another note...attempt to be the perfect at your activity and do each little thing suitable so as that regardless of the truth that if he has to employ someone once you're lengthy gone, he will desire you again because he's conscious that you'll do the activity properly. reliable luck, mama :-)

You have rights. Look up maternal leave laws. By being employed and expectating you are protected are some laws. I would read and find out what rights you have and address them with your boss that way they will see you know what you are doing and if they are violating civil rights then trust me you will get some act right from them if theyknow they are messing up and you are smart enough to file a lawsuit
