If this doesn't happen every time you wear it, it probably isn't an allergy. It's possible that the time your eyes are itchy, that you might have gotten the eyeshadow in your eye. The other possibility could be the quality of the product. You get what you pay for. I used to get the stuff from Kmart and Walmart, but now I use Mary Kay. I haven't had a problem with it. Not to mention their are tons of fancy little tricks and tips they teach you.
If you want to find out what might be causing the problem, try using 1 at a time (for a day or so). This might help narrow it down for you. Then once you find the product that is causing the irritation, look up the ingredients and see if there is anything different in the product that is causing irritation, and the ones that don't. You may have to play trial and error for a while, but you will eventually find it. You should be able to find ingredients on the back of boxes. Hope you find out what is causing the irritation. Good Luck!

Sometimes eye makeup can get in your eyes during the day, and they get irritated just as they would if a ton of dust or sand got in there. There may actually be an ingredient in your eye shadow or mascara that IS allergy-inducing, so you might want to try a new brand of makeup. Neutrogena makeup is usually quite gentle.
Another thing is, how long have you had your makeup for? Eye shadow should be replaced every 6 months, and mascara should be replaced every 3 months. This is because bacteria can begin to grow undetected in your makeup.
Another way to keep your makeup clean, once you've replaced it, is to make sure you clean any of your makeup brushes once weekly.

Maybe your eye makeup is old? Or you are sensitive to the makeup brand that you are using. I am sensitive to certain brands of makeup but not all. I am sure using hypoallergenic would help too, but for now try a different brand and see if it still happens. If it does then maybe you are allergic.

The skin surrounding your eyes is very thin, and tends to be more sensitive than other areas of the body. While its possible that you could be allergic to your make-up, you may just need to switch to a hypo-allergenic brand. Or a whole new brand all together. No biggie, this is very common.

sometimes ur eye place gets sweaty or oily... and so the make-up starts to wear away just a little bit... that usually irritates u and u scratch at it... or u might just be alergic to that particular brand/type, and u don't even know it...

itching when you're wearing a product is a sign of allergies. even though you may never have been allergic before, allergies do arise as time goes by, as you get older, even allergies to products you've used your whole life. sad, but true. try changing to a different product. if it itching persists, see an allergist.
