you'll start getting better after 2 months or so, if you work on it daily and the right diet and everything. depending on how out of shape you are, it could take as little as 4 - 7 months to get back to where you were

It really can vary tremendously. If you are trying to get back into shape as an infielder, that is a lot different than getting back into shape as a pitcher. The important thing is to not rush it.

The key is getting into a regimen when you are working regularly. Long-toss is the best bet for regaining your arm strength, regardless of position. You also want to work on your accuracy as well, so some situational throwing is important. (If you are an infielder, throw some from the position. If you are a pitcher throw from a mound).

Start slow - it is very easy to overdo it and your mind can end up writing some checks that your body can't cash. Build up from a moderate amount of throwing, always monitoring for pain, soreness and stiffness during your session and the next day.

I believe you should get a pitchback and throw like 150 pitch's a day. This will condition your arm. Start doing this for a month before.

If you work at it everyday, it should come back to you in about a month.
