does each aspect relate to the other? how beneficial are they to society?

Democracy and capitalism are similar ideas, they have a base comprised of people, and those people make choices that shape the respective system (politics, or markets). Generosity really doesn't fit into the picture, although it's nice when it does :)

well in the usa they do. some of the biggest charitable works eve in history have been done by ultra rich christian capitalist. the blds and things done by the owner and creator of standard oil. heasrt publishing and now bill gates of msn and warren buffet. the two richest men on the planet btw. who have just announced that most of thier billions about 100 billion total is going to health care to africa, to education the list is long. many scholarships for advanced ed is given to any not just americans by weatly corprations and private donors.
