I have this annoying cat scratch on my cars windshield, and I'm wondering if there's a process or a way of removing it. Sort of looks like a spider-web string about a foot long.

Thanks

It's not a crack, it's a cat claw scratch.

You can try using some very fine grit polish to buff out the scratch. I would test it in an inconspicuous spot first though.

Glass is pretty hard stuff. I've never met a cat that could scratch glass...unless your cat has diamond tipped claws or something.

A scratch and a crack are two different things. It sounds as though it's a crack.

Only replacing the windshield will it make it go away.

You might try your insurance if you have full coverage on the vehicle. Front windshields do not have a deductible. Otherwise you're looking at a possible $700 out of pocket to fix.

Good Luck.

in the journey that they are very minor scratches you are able to polish them out with pumice rubbing compound. you are able to get this at a pitcher keep that builds its own insulated gadgets and would not use an computerized washer. you are able to call round. it is going to take truly some artwork for even minor scratches. it may properly be speeded up by technique of creating use of a buffing wheel on a accessible drill. in case you flow for too lengthy at it you may reason a distortion contained in the glass. in the journey that they are deep scratches they can't be polished out without causing distortion and the windshield could could get replaced. wish this enables.

If it's not a crack, you may try polishing it but don't expect much success. BTW, a cat cannot possibly scratch a windshield...
