The best defense against any kind of psycho/emotional attack is AWARENESS!!! Of course, because they ARE "subliminal", you can't see them and know exactly what they are or when they are coming at you, but you can be AWARE that they ARE "out there" and monitor your own feelings closely.
If you feel an urge to do, say, buy or use something that you think may be "out of character" with your usual psycho/emotional patterns, then suspect a possible "subliminal" cause and treat it accordingly.
There is nothing that says you can't mentally argue with, silently dispute and resist an uncharacteristic idea or random thought pattern that does not feel right to you.
Generally, exhibiting awareness and offering a strong, self-assured show of resistance is all it takes.

Subliminal...you mean tempting? Yes, bigger and better, love affairs with food, can't mop a floor without a ___ etc. Common sense for many and protection for the very young via adults. If companies want to sell they should push honest ads, a laugh or two, and for sure a product that's actually needed, useful, healthy etc.
It's just like lying - if the subject were true then one wouldn't have to be manipulative ie trying to control the thoughts of others to control the outcome....trust won't exist it will leave....very bad for business/consumer relationships. It's as if they are afraid of their own product because people talk...if a product is good it will be in their homes and also talked about in a positive manner.

I know a very sure way to avoid it.
I seldom sit in front of a TV and when i sit there, I will just view movies from DVD

they teach witchcraft in college now. it's advertising 101. a terrible shame to humanity. ... at least for the smart college kids.
