There are a few things you can do:
Put up flyers in the grocery store bulletin boards; day care and/or after school care centers;
Put an ad in the newspaper; church bulletin; or online. Also, the best form of advertising is happy clients.
Good luck - my daughter was so successful at babysitting she had the same family from age 13 to 16. They paid her really well so that she wouldn't go somewhere else. She paid really close attention to the kids and the home - helped with dishes, cleaning, etc.

It's usually word of mouth. I would suggest having your parents mention to coworkers, etc. Always offer! I know I got jobs babysitting by just suggesting it myself. A lot of parents want to go out or have things to do but just don't ask. If you offer then that makes you look good and they will continue to use you if you do a good job. Good luck!

Ask daycare centers in your area if you can post a little sign in there lobby. They happen to have allot of people coming and going that have children.
