I am moving to Bratislava within the next few days, and once I find an apartment, would need to subscribe to a reliable Slovakian ADSL/CABLE internet service provider.

Can anybody provide a list of all Slovakian ISPs, together with (hopefully) a rough cost? Is there any preference to either ADSL or CABLE, or a specific company?

Note: I'll need about 1024KB DOWN & 256KB UP. Would welcome any specific recommendation.

1) Here is a list of Slovakian ISPs. They are have internet sites where you can look at the prices and services. Most have English too.. but the look in 'sluzby' services if you are reading the Slovak. 'cena' is prices. Most offer monthly contracts. With a signing up fee (about 20$)And prices start from roughly 20$ monthly. There are often 12 or 24 month contracts. It is cheaper for 24 month contract if you are staying that long.
