I respect what Al Davis has done for the Oakland Raiders and professional football. But as long as he tries to exert any influence on the team with his out-moded ideas, the team will be one-step behind. New ownership or a complete 180 turn of Al's intentions on team direction is the first thing the Raider's need to do to start in the right direction. Anything short of this - new coaches, new players, draft picks, location - is an act of futility.

well, the oakland raiders need to do quite a bit to become a contender many people are saying quarterback and reciever however here is what they should do to become better
first they need an offensive line an great quarterback and/or running back with a bad line will struggle example is arizona larry fitzgrrald anquan boldin kurt warner matt lienart edgrin james no production
they should seriously consider offensive linemen in free agancy and in the draft
their 1st pick should still be jamarcus russle because of his big arm and strength they have good recievers with jerry porter and randy moss if he stays if he doesnt they can still do great if they get a god line

The defense was fine last year. So obviously offense.
Get rid of Randy Moss for starters. I would use the top pick on Russell. The second pick on a WR. The third pick on a lineman. and then maybe draft a defensive player. See who isa round in FA...especialyl if they release Jordan.

a new quarterback from the draft and they need to fix up that o-line because it is just terrible.
