I have read that (not a conclusive research or anything) if you time intercourse 3-5 days prior to ovulation and the sperms survive that long enough to meet the egg when ovulation happens and get fertilized, you can have a girl baby whereas timing intercourse as close as possible to ovulation or on the day of ovulation can result in a boy baby. Again, not sure how true this claim is. This is not a tried and tested approach !

Honestly your chances of having a girl are greater anyway. This is because the "girl sperm" is stronger than the boy and can swim faster and farther. But I think you should be happy and accept what have been blessed with. There are some people that can't even have children much less pick the gender. I have 2 girls and pregnant again. I ask for another healthy baby. If it's a girl great, if it's a boy great. Just so that it's healthy! This is what you should do as well.

I've herd if you have sex before she ovulates at leats a day or two or both for fun that you have better cahances of getting a girl because male sperm swim faster than female but female sperm live longer so if you have sex before she ovulates the egg will release after the male sperm have died the the female sperm are reaching the egg. OH and use a form of birth control after she ovulates if you don't want a boy at least for a week or so. Good luck I've got 2 boys and want to try for a girl to I've done lotts of research

Try using the Shettles Method (just do a search for it, there are lots of websites with this info) Here's one link that summarizes the Shettles Method:
www.fertilityfriend.com/Faqs/Gender-Selection-The-Shettles-Method.html
or the Jonas Method. Here's a link to a free site for the Jonas Method:
www.lunarium.co.uk/jonas.php
There is also the Chinese Birthchart: (lots of websites have this chart) here's just one:
www.chineseastrology.com/wu/birthchart.html
There's nothing wrong with wanting to have a certain sex child. I'm sure you'll be happy either way. Hope this helps!

I am an obgyn nurse, and although they are not proven, and I do not believe in them some women that come to the office tell me that the Chinese birth calendar works, as well as a more acidic diet...it's scientifically proven that male sperm do not last as long in acidic "environments", so drinking alot of acidic juices, fruits, things like that MAY help...although it's not always proven.

Give it a try and let me know! I know some women swear by their "trials", but when you think about it...you get a 50/50 shot...I'd bet on those odds! LOL!

I wanted a boy very badly, but after I miscarriaged at 15 weeks, I realized I was such an a**hole for not appreciating being pregnant.... Not appreciating what an gift I had been given.

Hopefully you can come to that conclusion without having to lose your baby.

try a couple days before ovulation and dont try again. male sperm swim faster and die sooner. Female sperm live longer and swim slower. If you try about 2 days before ovulation that should weed out all the male sperm. Who knows... I'm having a girl and tried Fri. night ovulated saturday night tried sunday morning... so I guess the Fri sperm won before the sunday got there... haha. sorry if that was TMI.
