If someone has deep s*** problems and you are treating him like he does what is so hard about getting to the real and true story?

Some people just can't tell the truth. I have a daughter who is 22 and I have her children. She doesn't always lie but she does skirt the issue I am asking about. She will tell me one day that she is working in a bar as a waitress and learning to bar tend and then a few days later she will mention the name of the bar and it is a strip club. Even when it is good news she will not tell the whole truth. If I knew the way to stop it I would let you know but all I can do is take everything she says with a grain of salt and keep her children safe.

He is either too embarassed about his problem to talk about it, or,
he is in chronic denial and won't talk about it. Thinking he does
not have a problem, he feels no need to change. None of your
urgings will be accepted or welcomed by him. He may even get
angry at you for "accusing" him. You might have to get some
professional help for him.
