My car went in to be fixed with someone hit me from behind, it took 5 days, and when I went to pick it up, they had tidied the inside to such an extent that I was nearly in tears. They'd put all my bits and bobs, kids toys and anything else that wasn't old food, or rubbish, and packed it away neatly into little boxes...and the old food and rubbbish got thrown away. The seats were scrubbed, as were the floors and everything else...it had gone from being a war zone, to spotless!

Anyway, is there anywhere I can pay to get this done again? My car is back to being a war zone, and I don't want to have to have a crash to get it done again! What is it called to have it cleaned and tidied inside (more than a hoover, because there is rubbish everywhere!) and who would do it, and how much? Could I go back to the same garage do you think, and ask if they'd do it for me?

Hiya! it's amazing what a Valet can do to a car isn't it!
I use to work as a valeter at Hendy Body crash repair centre,
You can get mini valets, which is a hand wash, shammy, hoover, plastics wiped, wheel clean & trye slick what makes the tyres shinny for about 15 quid, it varies alot, full valet can reach up 60 quid! which is every thing, the same as the mini but you have the engine steam cleaned, dash plastics treated, door shuts & tailgate steamed off, bumpers viynl geled, seats cleaned, waxed & polished, some garages will even take out light scratches in your paint work.
Phone a few places up as some can charge anything from 25 to 60 quid thats for a full valet. Look in the yellow pages, you will also find mobile car valeters what will come to your home or work place : )

Sounds like you like to have your car "detailed"; as do I... there are several places that offer such services; including car dealerships, and private companies, many in my area have services that travel to your workplace. It's great... work a long day and emerge from the office to find your car spotless, and smelling new. It's great....

Thanks for the laugh. I would suggest once a week that you ask for help to get your car tidied up at home. Surely, you didn't make that mess all by yourself! Please don't ask the repair shop. You probably encountered a crazed cleaner like myself that couldn't stand to see the mess. Learn to be tidier - it'll serve you well in lots of areas of your life. :)
