Ok I've been bad and let my curiousity get the best of me...I have been snooping in my bf's online bank account. I've had an on/off relationship with him and it has been hard to trust if he is being straight with me or may be involved with someone else. I still love him and I don't want him to find out i've been snooping or even worse, end up losing him. When I am logged into the bank site there is an info bar I can click on to look at the account login history. The history shows the last 20 logins which are from me so he will see that someone has been logging in to his bank account. HELP!! Does anyone know if it is possible to delete the login history or have any other ideas that might work? And does anyone know if the older login history is no longer viewable after a certain period of time--like say maybe a month or so? I wish I never let my curiousity get the best of me. I don't know if he'll ever forgive me if he knew it was me. I might have to lie to get out of this one.

Honesty is your best option. Even if you loose him at least you were honest. One lie is going to lead to another and eventually you will loose him anyway because you cannot be trusted.

Good luck!

It is not possible to delete the login info. More importantly, if his bank has a suspicion that you are doing this, and they will catch on, eventually, it is a crime. If you just happen to be logged in on that account at the same time as him...it is flagged. Even if I did know how you could get out of this, I wouldnt tell you, because you are wrong for doing it. I hope you get caught.

Ok--what you did was wrong.

It was fueled by your curiosity, which is difficult to defeat, especially if you think your significant other is playing around with you.

Bottom line tho--he's going to be mad. You can't delete the login history. Just be bold and brave and say "Yeah I logged in to your account! I'm sorry but I wanted to see if you were cheating on me. I will never do it again if you can tell me right now that you aren't cheating."

Be honest--don't be scared. Besides, you already did it, so there's no going back. You might need to take a punishment from him, like he won't talk to you for a while or you'll have to rub his feet or something to make up for it--get the picture?

If it's instituted into the bank's web page, then your kind of in a jam. I would come clean with him and tell him what you've done. Tell him the truth, that you have trust issues with him and what it will take to make you trust him again.. Tell him you need his help on this one. Don't let him know that you noticed the info bar that shows your login history. Make him beleive that you told him because you want to solve the problem instead of snooping on him.

Make up some excuse- honey did you know that you left your bank account open on my computer? Every time I try to navigate away from it, it comes up again- I finally had to close the window and open a new one.
Or -I couldn't log into my account, and I thought that I'd try logging into yours just to test whether all of them were down or I was just doing something wrong with mine.
Or- You know, you should clear the history when you use the computer. I was trying to click on ______ and misclicked by a millimeter and found myself in your bank account instead! You wouldn't want someone else to do that.

Just some plausible explanation to give before he ever discovers.

I'll admit I'd be pretty upset if someone was doing that to me! How would you feel if someone found out access to your account? There's so much more he could accuse you of, if money starts missing somehow, it's all going to fall back on you!

Good luck with this one...
