I use AVG Free and highly recommend it. I've installed it on every machine I've repaired in the past three years and you can't beat the price.
It's easy to install, stable and easy to use. It comes with email scanning and software firewall. It also uses less RAM than most other anti virus software packages.
There are paid versions available.

Ignore the person that tells you Norton is junk, Norton systemworks gives so much more than antivirus and somtimes in P C World it is bundled with norton firewall.
I am not knocking AVG it is very good and it is free,I do not mind paying for security and have used Norton for several years, never had a virus, Ifeel safe.
Cheers, Chris.
