Does he have a fave Football team? If he does you could book tickets to his fave teams next match and give them to him over dinner or go with him to the match and show a interest and then you could go home and you could dress up in his football shirt for him!! Apparently guys love that!

take him out for a meal, go to the pub for a couple and then go home put the lights on low and have a whale of a time then go again.
