I think that would be a good fit. Get rid of Moss or Porter. They need both veteran and rookie O-line help. If they get Garcia, he's mobile enough to escape while they learn on the job.
Lamont is a good back. Rhodes won't make much difference if they don't learn to run-block.
I think at best they'll be 8-8 if they buy into Kiffin's way of doing things... assuming the defense stays solid.

A winning season is kind of a stretch. I see the Raiders as a year behind the niners. Another losing but promising season, then maybe 9+ wins. I think yes, w/o a doubt they should take Johnson #1. Nobody was even talking about Russell before the Sugar Bowl and now he some kind of savior. It would take a lot for a winning season this year but with the same D as last year, anything is possible. First, I would shop Moss to the Falcons for Schaub. Vick would love that. Less pressure and a WR who can actually catch. Draft at least 3 O lineman in the draft including 1 with the 33 pick. Why they passed on Steinbach and Davis I can't figure out. Jordan is a very good back and as we saw with the Edge and the Cardinals last year, O-Line is everything. I don't see them winning more than 5 games next year if they don't make any trades or have a horrible draft.

I don't think the Raiders should or will take Calvin Johnson as they already have the makings of a good receiver corp now. The Raiders problems lie in the QB position. They more than likely will draft QB JaMarcus Russell of LSU with the first pick. Why try to trade for a QB that no other team wants in the first place or sign a retreaded veteran free agent when you can get the potential of a guy like Russell? Al Davis finally realizes that Oakland has to get a strong arm quarterback for the future and Russell is the best fit. Once he gets to training camp and the receivers see how good he is, they will have attitude adjustments!

Absolutley not. That would be one of the worst things they could do. They have so many other holes to fill. Having a reciever like that doesn't do you any good, even with a better QB than they had last year, unless they have someone on the offensive line that will actually throw a block. They are not going to get a good QB for Randy Moss. Nobody is going to give them anything higher than a second round draft pick for him. He's too much of a liability on the payroll and his numbers have decreased drastically over the last three years. They should trade the first overall pick so they can get more draft picks this year. They will be able to fill more of their immediate needs that way.

Either him or Jamarcus Russel. Johnson is a complete stud who could help them right away. It may take Russel time to get adjusted to the pro game sort of like how Daunte Culpeper got adjusted. I would lean more towards drafting Calvin Johnson since Randy Moss is completely unhappy and Jerry Porter has some issues.

I think the Raiders should take Adrian Peterson, he could be the next Tomlinson. They have decent receivers already. Curry and Francis aren't well known right now but they will be. The second position they will need to address is the O-line. Now if Calvin Johnson is still available in the second round then by all means they should pick him up.

I would say yes. They can trade Moss whether they draft Johnson or not. If Johnson, not Russell is rated as the best player on their board, they should take him.
No matter what they do, they are a long way from a winning season.

The raiders have so many needs that they would be better off trading down and accumulating as many draft picks as they can.

I would take Calvin. In my eyes he is the best player in the draft.
