I have had this dream more than once. That I was in a mental hospital and my mom and sister came to visit me that I was disoriented confused unclear about things and then I woke up feeling very unsettled and scared. What does this dream mean?

Years ago 22 years ago I was hospitalized and I am doing well. I even got reduced of my medication and no relapse and next year my doctor want to reduce me more off medications, so If I am doing so well why Did I have this horrific dream?

Sounds like fear. I encourage you to get in the word and pray. You obviously are having thoughts during the day about issues that are triggering these dreams. Look up 2 Corinthians 10:5. Give your thoughts to the Lord and pray the word over youself. Remember you have the mind of Christ!

I do believe that dreams have some kind of meaning. Maybe you are scared to go back to that situation. Maybe, you are experiencing something that is confusing or unclear or something that is bothering you at the moment, and since going back to a metal hospital is your biggest fear, it is just applying it to this. It doesn't necessarily mean that you are going back. It means that you should look at your life right now and see if there is anything that is bothering you or if there is something that you are confused about, then you should see if there is anything you can do. Maybe you need to talk to a person, if what is bothering you has to do with that person. it really does depend on what is going on in your life right now. So all I can suggest is to look at your life right now and see if there is anything troubling you and find out what you need to do to ease it or solve it. I think that if you keep having this dream, then it is because something is still bothering you. Hope this helps and good luck!!! :0)

you probably are afraid of losing control of your life. sometimes dreams mean nothing sometimes they actually mean more. I think everyone is familiar with the dream where your faling and you wake up just before you hit the ground well aparently a dream like that means that you fell like you have no control of whats going on around you like your just falling with no way to stop. Its possible that you are a little confused about something thats going on and because of your past experiences its aplified in your dream. People have weird dreams and very often they mean nothing. I would just try look at whats going on and try to find connections to how your feeling and things that happened in the dream. if your really afraid that its something because of the reduction of medication tell your doctor. sometimes even doctors think people will do fine and it turns out theres something they missed. like i said i wouldn't worry about.

Maybe your brain is just recalling when you were in the hospital all those years ago. Dreams dont really mean anything. When you sleep your mind replays the day you just had, what you were thinking, anything you did or saw. Dont worry about it. Maybe your just scared that you will end up in the hospital again.

i would say if you are doing well this is just an inner fear you have. i woud say try this once you are dreaming try your best to look at your hands. i have no idea why this works however once you can do that you can recognize it as a dream and try to control the dream. also tell your doctor vivid dreams could be the result of the medicine. you should remind yourself every morning that you are doing well.

you are probably afraid that you will relapse....things are going good for you and you don't want to have any problems it's only natural to be afraid that problems may come back, just keep enjoying life & things will work out...don't think too far into your dream, after all it was just a dream it doesn't really mean any thing. good luck!

It could be a flashback from before, or perhaps you are feeling anxiety about getting off of your meds after such a long time. Talk to your doctor about it, he should know about it.

Sounds like a deep fear you will have to return to the hospital. You seem to be doing fine. Be grateful.

You were probably worried ( even without it being a concious worry) because youre getting weaned off your medicine. But dont fret. Youre fine. bettyk

There is no meaning to dreams. People who believe there are, will litterally have you believe in anything - to buy books (about dreams).

Forget about it.
