Both are important. That's what makes Yahoo answers work. I think of it as helping each other out. If I ask questions, I believe I should be fair and answer other peoples' questions. Of course, I want to accumulate points, too!

I think answering is more important since just maybe my input on something can help another. Answering, well if I had so many questions that I would like to ask the general public rather than just research it myself then I would ask many more.

as quickly as I first started out on Y!A and could see a query asserting 10 factors for suitable answer, i presumed that the asker ought to furnish further factors. of course I quickly found out it wasn't real. i assume that's to get extra interest to a query. gw
