Confidence is earned. Confidence is the feeling that you're capable of doing something. The feeling comes from having done things successfully...AND having given yourself credit for having done so.

So start by making a list of everything you've achieved, no matter how "small" the accomplishment is. Also lists your personal strengths, including your knowledge and skills. Don't leave anything out just because you don't think it's worthy...that's what an unconfident person would do. These are the building blocks.

Going forward, try things. If you're familiar with what has to be done, or if you know you can learn, say to yourself, "I can do this. I've accomplished other things, I can do this, too." Then do your best to get it done, facing the challenges and not quitting. When you're done, give yourself credit for that.

Start small, don't take on more than you can realistically accomplish. Nothing tricky here, and no "magic bullet," no secret concept or wonderful self-talk to suddenly make you self-confident. Just be who you are, be a friend to yourself, and acknowledge that you're a person with potential.

As I started to get older my confidence grew. I figured what the heck whats the worse that can happen. And at my age which escapes me at the moment who cares. You start to realize that nobody really cares and they won't remember your mistake long it's a busy world.
