this seems to be a very pecuilar problem i have a ps2 which is modded seems to play all the EA sports games which have a reasonable graphics but it does not play games like final fantasy which have movies in the intro or have good graphics it used to earlier though...i just get a black screen not even a disc read error but when i use sports games which dont have movies it works fine ....can someone help me out

theres too much of a duct build up in it or try cleaning the ductfans take it to your nearest game stop or eb games or gamecrazy and they will clean it for like 10 bucks or its just an old model of ps2 and if so i recomend buying a new slim ps2 its great

YOUR PS2 has a problem
its VGA has a problem "VIDEOCARD"
like when you play a game on an older PC
"BLACKSCREEN"

sorry but your ps2 is modded so it is possible to have thede problems.there is nothing you can do.or maybe it is.take a new playstasion

Buy a new PS2 and don't mod it.
