My family disowned me.
When they found out I had some attractions to women they were utterly horrified. They somehow took this as a failure in how they raised me. It was even worse when I tried to tell them I've been like this all my life. They just think I'm giving in to sin, by not sticking with other guys.

It was awful I live in this dinky little town and then when I came out and told everyone I liked boys well they wouldnt even speak to me. The preacher from the church came an told me that heterosexuals go to hell but I will take my chance cause I know I was born this way its not like I had a choice!!

I came out to my family at age 15 regarding my heterosexuality. They were upset at first...but have learned to accept my lifestyle.

When I was younger, I was telling everyone. luckily I grew up in a fairly liberal household, and was accepted pretty readily.

I came out of the hereto closet years ago. My friends and family love me for who I am and don't judge my sex life.

I didn't have to tell them, they already knew by my mannerisms and behavior. They were hoping that I wasn't but they still love me anyway.

I have only ever told my kids. They said they suspected beforehand, but could never be sure.
