How about going out for a romantic dinner? Or if you are really into the exotic, have a romantic dinner in bed!
After that, just enjoy each other, and forget about the world.
I just have one comment, and is about you. I think you have to set some rules in your family. I don’t know how old is your son, but if you want him to stop sleeping in your bed, you have to set the rules, and make it happen, even if it means putting him to bed (his bed) and then locking your own door so he doesn’t go in the room.
And if he cries, let him, and just tell him (do not open the door no matter what) that he has to go to bed, his bed! And that you will not open the door. If he is still very small, then you can’t be too mean to him, but still force him to stay in his room and bed.
I think you are a little responsible for the way the kid is acting, and your husband would be right to also be mad because of the situation. The best thing to do is not just to have a “make up sex” but also talk to your husband, and ask him to help also with the kid. You two can work together to help the boy get used to sleep alone. Don’t make it a one-person job. Share it1 And then you two can enjoy sex a lot better.
By the way, if you want to have load sex this one night, then instead of staying home, consider going to a hotel. Try a nice hotel that has a restaurant, so you can have a romantic dinner there, and then go up to the room to have lots of fun.
If I were you, I would apologize to him for how things have been, and then ask him to help you with the kid. And also promise that things will be better. Then just jump into sex again… LOL. I don’t think he would be mad at all ;)

A beautiful dinner for two. Bring out the roses, the candles, the divine food (even if it's takeout, since that's a lot easier than slaving over the stove all day). Wear your most beautiful dress and heels. If you're worried about disturbing the grandparents (or being disturbed), you can always move some furniture in the bedroom and lay out a picnic blanket and eat in there. You could also try taking a bubble bath together.
Think about how you would like to be spoiled and then do the same for him. Guys need to be spoiled too.
Good luck!

As much as I'd like to give you advice, I don't know how to knock his socks off with romance. If you meant sex, I have some ideas, but I doubt he'll be that excited knowing his grandparents are awake in the other room, well aware of what you two are doing.
You should have them watch your child at their home or you should get a hotel room.
--
As far as the child thing goes, you need to let your child cry. Don't let them manipulate you with crying. Put a gate in his doorway. Let him play in his room for about 30 minutes before it is time for him to go to bed. When bedtime comes, go in and place him in bed. Sing to him until he falls asleep or you get tired. Don't let him leave the bed while you are in the room with him. If singing doesn't work or he wakes up, let him cry at the gate for about 10 minutes. Then go back in and carry him to the bed. Sing to him again. Repeat as necessary.
Once he's cried about a half hour,

The best thing you can do for your husband is set some hard boundaries down and have you son sleep in his own room. Depending on how old he is you will have a huge mess on your hands for up to a week. Balance that our with a life time of peace and you'll make it.

well, I am sorry girl but even though I understand your situation and know it can be difficult your not going to fix things by giving him one or two nights of what is really needed to be without planning.
Look, people have been parents for hundreds of years and have had to deal with making changes that need to be done no matter what the children think of them.
I know, we had the same problem with our daughter when she was young and it caused alot of problems and distance between us. You have to just realize that your son will be fine and has to learn to adjust to being on his own.He only keeps fighting it cause he so far has gotten his way.He is not in any harm by sleeping alone and even though it will be a challenge and a couple weeks of broken up sleep for you and your man by having to keep putting him back in his bed when he comes crying trying to get in with you guys.Yes, it does pull your heart strings but you have to keep in mind that its what needs to be done.He needs to be able to comfort himself to sleep.
Look, do what you want but If you dont bite the bullet soon its only going to get harder and possibly cause some irrevesable damage to your marriage.Be smart and start tonight and in a couple weeks he will be re trained and you and your man will have the needed "quality time" to your selves that the rest of us have learned to need and desire just like you will.Tonight, go out to dinner than when gandparents are alseep, rock his world with all you got.But from this day on work on getting that child in his bed and dont look back!
Good luck, you can do it!! :))

Make him a great dinner. be as sexy as you can be ( with the grandparents around) And when you finally hit the bed...go for it..take control. Make him understand that you know things have been rough but tonight it will be all about HIM.

Keep it simple. Basic turn ons that he likes. If you know he likes massages then give him one. Just try to play into his needs tonight if you want to make it up for him. I am sure that he has some stored energy from all the fighting.
