Not very well at first, got quite depressed. Then I realized that I was depressed because I hated the job. I was miserable, and I deliberately sabotaged myself, even if it wasn't consciously.

Eventually I found a job I loved 5 years ago. I'm still here and loving it.

I have always prided myself on never being fired before, then I got fired! I was really upset at first but then I found SO many better jobs out there.

If your worried about your resume, there is always a way around it.... you can say your still employed by the company and you would rather they not contact your employer because if you don't get the job it will cause conflict at the company!

I was fired from GE six months ago. When you're fired from a company like GE, finding work again is impossible. Just ask my girlfriend. I've sent resumes in everywhere and I've got nothing. There's a black flag on me like there is on a serial raper who just got out of prison. Thank God I own three bars on the side and live off of that.

How did I cope? It devastated me. My girlfriend and I were planning our wedding, we just bought our first house and everything we had and planned was based on that pay cheque. All of a sudden, it's gone. I was terrified. I wanted to break down and cry and beg for my job when in the bosses office.

But I didn't. One thing my grandfather taught me that I never forgot is to always show your poker face in situations like that. I had lost the hand but don't show it. I shook his hand, said goodbye to my friends and walked out of there with my head held high. The drive home was a different story but as far as GE knows, they didn't beat me.

At first I was really upset but I realised that job was not for me and I have more potential. I was fired from a waitress job 12 years ago for getting pregnant. The second time it happened I was working for a company as a telemarketer (sorry if I ever bugged any of you) I made good money but my sales were not quota so they let me go fine by me I hated calling people and bothering them anyway
