It's a Netgear DG834PN. Wired up and did the setup page, then had a look at the firewall settings - don't know where to start.

You should call the manufacturer, they will walk you through the steps over the phone, this is the best way if you are new to configuring them.......
Thats how I learned, or you could post what type of router your using and someone might be able to do a step by step for ya!

Sounds like you may also have to forward some ports.

This also gives the username and password to access your router settings as noted in other posts on here.

your router will have a specific address eg http://192.1**.*.* etc... type that it then you will open up the settings for your router, then the option will appear either on settings or firewall itself, then it will give you options, then configure it to however you want it to

click this link its your routor not he internet and looka t you r options http://192.168.1.1/ if not that one then this one http://192.168.0.1/
