The Mets, Nationals, Astros, Dodgers, Giants and Padres have no games scheduled for Memorial Day.

Washington should host a game and MLB should give tickets to troops or at least honor their service.

NY and LA are the biggest markets, at least one of them should be hosting a game that day.

Houston, SF and SD are also big markets.

All 6 of those clubs should be playing on Memorial Day - why does MLB completely ignore the fans?

This is a no-brainer. Do you agree?

Ok if the question is "How dumb is Bud Selig?" Then I would say very. But guess who does play on Memorial day at home. His own team the Milwaukee Brewers!!! He is also dumb because of his stance on Pete Rose. Pete Rose should not be in the "Hall of Fame" because of his accomplishments as a manager. Pete Rose should be in the "Hall of Fame" because of his accomplisments as a HITTER! Pete Rose has and will always have more "Fame" than Bud Selig. I am not even a Pete Rose fan or a Bud Selig fan.

Bud Selig is the worst commish in baseball history. First of all old Bud is for the owners and not the players. He certainly is not for the fan. MLB has been ignoring the fans for years and years to come. Baseball use to be americas favorite past time sport. As you can see now Bud Selig has turned it into a business and took the sport out of baseball. I agree that the big market teams should be playing on memorial day and the 4th of July as well. Baseball is a no brainer for the fans. All major league teams should give our present and past veterans a lifetime pass to there home teams games. God Bless America and Bush can go straight to hell.

This has been an issue for a number of years. It is a disgrace that this previously traditional day for baseball is being ignored.
I'm betting the day before (Sunday) there are a bunch of night games so people will be available to watch following days at the beach, picnics etc. Afer finishing a game late at night there is no time to travel elsewhere so unless a series finishes on a Monday (unusual) there is not much option other than to have the next day be an off day. I actually heard Selig on a New York Radio sports talk show expressing regret about this issue and promising it would be dealt with in the future, obviously an empty promise.

Remember, Bud Selig made his money in the used-car business, so keep that in mind whenever he tries to spin something positive that everyone else in the world realizes is pure crap.

IMO, no-one has done more to crap on the sport of baseball than Bud. Not Pete Rose, not Bowie Kuhn, not Ford Frick and his stupid asterisk. None of those guys had anything to do with e tied All-Star Game. None of those guys had the lame idea to connect World Series Home Field Advantage to the winner of the All-Star Game (the sport's biggest exhibition game).

But Bud continues as if nothing's wrong because he works for the owners, and the owners are pulling in money hand over fist, and that's the only thing that matters to them.

But Bud's a freakin' imbecile.

That is stupid. I'm suprised the teams themselves are not putting up more of a fuss becuase those are days that stadiums can charge "prime" rates and even bad teams will usually fill their stadiums on national holidays.

Ligoneski, there are never a lot of Sunday night games. There is only one a week.

HE IS DUMBER THAN A BOX OF ROCKS. IF A TEAM HAS PLAYED TWENTY STRAIGHT DAYS THE TEAM MUST BE OFF
OR IF IT FLIES COAST TO COAST.
