Since Nepal is sandwiched between India and China, is Nepalese cuisine similar to either of these countries? I've been curious about it for some time but unfortunately Nepalese restaurants are harder to find in the international scene. What are the similarities, what are the differences? Do you know any good websites where I can find info and recipes I could try out? Thanks!

Nepalese cuisine is similar to Indian cuisine and Tibetan cuisine... but it is the Nepalese cuisine.

The basic would be rice, lintel (daal), some vegetables like cauliflower, and some meat like goat (mutton). Out of them i like MOMO(or dumplin).. Its steamed meat (specially of buffalo) wrapped in wheat flower.. its great...i would recommend you to try that out.

They dont eat beef so dont even talk about that.. (for them eating beef is just like eating dog meat or horse meat for us)

Nepal has a rich mixture of culture so there are a lot of variety that you can find..

it is really simple, basic food. nepal is a poor country and i don't know the best way to describe their cuisine. you could google "nepalese foods" or "nepalese restaurants or recipies" and see what it turns up. but from my experiences, it is a little like indian food but kinda like chinese food, also a little more like middle eastern food, but not as rich, kind of strong, with lots of spices.
