What Ann Coulter said might have been crude but I think she just said something that a lot of people, including Democrats, think about Edwards. Edwards is a wealthy and attractive man with a homely wife. Is the Edwards marriage just a business partnership like with Bill and Hillary?

Well, he smiles a lot, so...OH, you mean "that" kind of gay...Nope. I have a lot of gay friends, and Edwards doesn't have half the brains that most of my friends have. In fact, they call him a faaggot because of his pretty boy look.

BTW, why are all the libs up in arms about one of their own being "outed?" I thought it is supposed to be a perfectly acceptable lifestyle. The libs support gay "marriage," don't they? So what is the problem with saying The Hairdo is gay? Oh, wait, it wasn't that he is gay, it was that he is a faaggot - a burning piece of straw, with no substance. Actually, she insulted gays by calling Edwards one of them.

(Of course it is ok to call Ann Coulter all kinds of names; it is ok to call for the assassination of the sitting Vice-President, it is ok to use all sorts of insults about the President, to say that the leaders of the NRA should be shot -- but how dare you insult one of the leftist baby-dolls... Just look at the comments made by these defenders of tolerance and freedom of speech. Oh, that is freedom for them to speak, and tolerance only of what they approve. Have you liberals no shame?)

LOLOLOLOLOL. Yahoo answers blots out the word faaggot (and just plain faag (cigarette); no matter in what sense it is used. I wonder if they also blot out Kike, Hebe, and Hymie? How about Wop and Guinea? Honky? Pollack?

Nope. I didn't think so. We can use all the offensive words we want to refer to those groups, but as Orwell said, some pigs are more equal than others. We have a protected class here, eh?

um - for the ignorant and illiterate, that is a quote from Animal Farm, so if you go reporting me for calling someone who is not in Law Enforcement a "pig" (there is another allowed insult), you will only expose your own lack of education.

Something else amusing - while Yahoo Answers blots out the two words fag (faag) and ******* (remove the hyphen), their spell check does not - it keeps trying to correct them. What a bunch of weenies...

Consider the source. Ann Coulter is not known for backing up her statements with such things as concrete evidence, statistics, etc. These are things that intellegent people do. Ann Coulter makes statements based on what is going on in her own warped little mind.
You claim that John Edwards wife is "homely". By whose standards?? Yours??? You are not the one who has to wake up and look at her every morning. Maybe, just maybe, John Edwards finds her attractive and finds what makes her attractive beneath the skin. After all, he is not a 14 year old boy with greased hormones. I think everyone would like to have a Brad Pitt or Beyonce lookalike for a spouse but as we grow older and mature, we learn to look beyond the surface of a person to find that attraction.
Even if he was gay, what difference would it make. The questions you should be asking are:

Is he competent?

Does he best represent my views and my vision for America?

Will he act in the best interests of the United States?

For me, if an individual running for office meets the above three criteria, he or she could have sexual relations with a moose and I would still vote for them. I could care less what is going on in any bedroom that I am not sleeping in.
Wouldn't it be interesting if Ann Coulter actually discussed current issues in an intelligent manner instead of spewing hate filled venom that can't be supported by facts and statistics???

Wow. Just an observation to snackfairy: are you serious about your statement: "For me, if an individual running for office meets the above three criteria, he or she could have sexual relations with a moose and I would still vote for them." A Moose?!?! The fact that a candidate actually engaged in bestiality would have absolutely no bearing on whether that person possessed a proper level of good judgment? And you wonder why we cannot take liberals seriously? Are you freaking kidding me? "sexual relations with a MOOSE???" No wonder you looked the other way when your Boy Wonder -- Mr. Bill -- took Monica to the secret place in the Oval Office. But, then of course, I forget, according to his definition, that was not 'sexual relations'. May God save our nation!

Well gosh; he must be if Ann Coulter said he was!!
After all, Ann's is a reasonable voice, and she would never just come out and make a statement if she didn't have some proof.

He has several children. His wife is not homely, she looks like most women in their 50s. Sorry she doesnt look like she is made of plastic like Mrs Reagan or Laura Bush. Ann Coulter is a transsexual!

in my opinion, i'm a huge fan of Thessalonians 2, verse 12 -- it truly is no longer anti-gay or something like that, yet talks about condemning human beings, so it truly is cool. This states that those which have self belief lies are going to Hell. So... the record of those going to Hell occurs to comprise the those that informed me to ascertain the Bible contained in the first position. sweet, sweet irony...

Oh sure! If Ann Coulter said so, it must be true! I can't believe that anyone with half a brain would believe anything that libelous butch would say about anyone else! Someone should sue her big time.

I don't believe Coulter said that because she thinks he's a homosexual. She said it because he's such a wimp, an unmanly man, a lightweight, a metrosexual. That's how he acquired the "Pretty Pony" sobriquet in the previous presidential election.

So what if he's gay? Does that make him a lesser person? Its like saying Obama is bad because he is "black".

I think Edwards is not gay, but rather married to power.
