I remember this stage it is yucky! You don't look pregnant for sure but feel kind of plump! It will pass just be patient. You probably notice more than others.

When I was in this stage I did elastic waste pants it helped. Also try shopping in the women's sizes (if you don't already) they are just a little bigger but not as big as maternity. I did this for a lot of my pregnancy with my first.

Good luck and hang in there I am sure you look great!!

This is so completely normal. You are between sizes (maternity and your regular clothes), you know you are pregnant and that is why you are plumping up but not everyone knows this so you feel more "fat" than pregnant. But don't worry very soon you will start to show to the point that people you don't even know will see that you are with child, you will fit maternity clothes so you won't be uncomfortable. You will feel very pretty and more of a woman than you can imagine. Being pregnant and being a mother is one of the best things a woman can do. Stay positive and you will get through this hard part. Congrats!!

I know... That's kind of where I am. I'm almost 19 weeks and I can't really fit in my old jeans. That's why I bought 2 Bella Bands. They are awesome! You just wear them like a long tank-top over your un-buttoned pants and they smooth everything out. they are literally a tube top for your mid section. You can use them through the whole pregnancy, even for support at the end. I have a black plain one that just looks like the bottom of a cami, and one white lace one that looks like the bottom of a pretty tank top. They come in a few different colors and they helped me a lot. They can be used to keep you in your old unbuttoned pants, or used to help new maternity clothes fit a little better. Either way, you'll love them, I know I did! There are a bunch of retailers who sell them on line. Just type it in yahoo's search bar and you'll find them. Good luck sweetie! I'm sure you look beautiful and *glowey*... even if you don't feel like it!

I felt the same way, I had problems with anorexia in past years and accepting that I was going to gain weight and get a belly was difficult to accept, but eventually I became comfortable in my skin again - I think it was after my first ultrasound and I got to see the baby that things clicked for me. I've been wearing maternity jeans for the longest time because they were so much more comfy as I progessed along. Just remember that you are pretty, and it is very normal! :) Pregnancy is hard, but the end result is worth it!

I know how you feel, and yes it will pass, it may help to buy some really cute fashionable maternity clothes for your insecurities, or perhaps get a new hairdo, manicure etc... Hang in there, you will out grow these feelings, and that wont even matter once your baby arrives : ) you'll be the happiest woman alive! ; )

Can you put on your regular clothes and just not button your pants? I used to expand my pants with using a rubber band between the button and the button hole. Also, I loved my Bella Bands. Check them out! You can wear your regular clothes longer.

P.S. Even though you may feel kind of icky right now, you are beautiful! There is nothing more beautiful than a pregnant woman. Once you get into your 2nd trimester you will feel better.

Buy some cute NOT maternity clothes...when you outgrow them, buy maternity. Hang onto these larger size NOT maternity clothes. Right after you deliver you will NOT want to keep wearing maternity clothes...nothing will make you feel fatter!! Pull out these larger, cute NOT maternity clothes and wear them after delivery until you get back into your regular wardrobe!
