Realistically speaking, is this possible? Even with my current salary, I would like to have my medical bill debt paid off. Its an awful feeling to owe so much money! With my current salary I cannot afford to pay it off because I have my regular bills (mortgage, electric, gas, car payment) and I would like to have this paid off relatively soon. I have nothing to sell in my house, as nothing is worth that much. Thanks in Advance.

you will have to make a budget. then consolidate all credit card, stop buying magazine, coffee, clothes, lunch. then you will have the extra money. If you keep on doing that, you will save some money. just concentrate working and have budget, do not spend all your money.

Bartending is a nice way of making extra money. I have been a barmaid for 12 years. It has always been a second job for me. Depending on where you work, you can average $100 or more a day.

All bartenders don't make that much. Location is the key to making money. If you are not offended by strippers, bartending at a strip club will bring in good money. Also, if there is a casino in your area, waitressing/bartending there will bring in good money as well.

Well, if you have enough spare time, I would take up bartending at somewhere like chili's or applebees. I have a friend who made 1,000 one week doing it. He worked all 7 days, but he only worked like 5-6 hours a day.

Take home? Or gross?

$2500/month gross is $30,000/year. That's a fairly low salary for jobs that require a college degree.

If you don't have a degree, it might be harder, but $30,000 is not unreasonable.

It also depends on where you live, of course.
