Take out the fly fast, but not too fast. I'd say the speed that you think that you could hold for about a 150. On the back you need to sprint as well as on the breast. The free, give it everything that you have left.

Sprint the fly because then you get a good start, try not to cool off to much on the back, on the breast you've got to sprint your hardest because otherwise a good breaststroker will beat you even if you're infront of them to start. A good breaststroker is a good IMer. Give the front crawl all you've got because then you're finninsh will let you down and don't breath for the last half of the front crawl length!! (Well at least try!)

It depends on your stroke, transition and prime. Pace yourself, push it out and focus on cutting your times in all four disciplines. Ensure you get a fabulous dive and have amazingly smooth transitions. Practice practice practice!!! Don't let yourself slow down because you're tired and don't sprint right off the block because you'll be wasted. Ask your coach how you can achieve your goal, he or she is your best advisor because he or she knows you best. If he or she won't or can't help you, join another club or team where they can. Good luck, you can SO do it!!!

take your fly out like it was a 200 then build it, back and breast building (from a warmup pace) and then all out free. Good Luck and i hope you break your time!
