i dont smoke in front of them... that is disrespectful

I don't smoke so no.
but I do drink in front of them! I took my dad out for a night on the town! lol.
I moved out before my 19th birthday so when I went home a few months later I had to go out with my folks, bro and bf to celebrate!
Man I love Canada! drinking age is 18 and 19 there..but only 19 in the 2 provinces I've lived in.
I've been completely wasted infront of my parents and they don't care. they just laugh and tell me I'm gonna feel it tommorow.

I don't smoke, so that's a negative
but I wouldn't be ashamed to have a drink in front of or with my Mom, I'm all grown up now too

I drink wine with my parents occasionally. I'm 18, can legally smoke but I'm not supposed to, so no, I don't smoke in front of them.

You can depending on your age! If your legal age I don't see a problem with smoking and drinking around your parents.

I have had a few drinks in front of my parents although they very rarely drink themselves, however I have only been drunk twice in front of them...my sister's wedding and my own wedding. My dad saw me smoking one time, but he didn't say anything, that was at my wedding.

no way. Last night my dad called me and I had only had half a shot. I was still freaking out thinking he'd notice. I don't let my parents know that I drink. I'm a grown woman, but I still can't do it.

Yes. When I used to smoke, I did on front of them - they hated it but it was my choice.
Drinking isn't passe in my family.
