My car (Honda civic) is making a little high pitched dragging noise, mostly when I make a turn. It makes the noise for a couple of seconds & then stops. The noise just started & I am hoping to get some input before I go to the mechanic. Any info?

You may need power steering fluid. I'd go to a mechanic as soon as possible. There could be something seriously wrong.

Sounds like the bearings, since the dragging noise could be the rotor moving, and the noise stops when the car's moving straight.

Something even simpler would be to check your lugnuts (looks perverted, doesn't it?) and make sure they are on tight, before anything else.

Brake wear indicators on the frond brake pads are touching the rotor.
Time for a brake job.

brakes. Get it checked asap. If it's just brake pads it's not too expensive, but if you let it go to where it grinds into the metal it's pricey.

Check the level of your power steering fluid... And check your belts... If ones loose it'll cause any type of sound...And all of them are annoying...
