I've got this GCSE report thingy ooo

Just need a bit of help with this one.

Yes. Nutritionally void foods serve no purpose, and chips and crisps are high fat, high salt, no nutrient foods which have no place in the healthy diet of a child.

In my opinion fried potato is fine but in the commercially produced crisps there are high salt, sugar and trans fats content which is a no- no for anyone especially for a growing child.

In chip shops the oil for frying is used and re-used many times so that is not healthy either. And the ready made ones have trans fats and other additives.

SO unless the child has a weight problem I would say home made chips are fine but crisps, chip shop chips and ready made chips are not.

Not really. Everything in moderation is fine. As long as the child is recieving enough nutrients from other food sources, a few chips shouldn't hurt them now and again.
