knee dislocation?

i apparently had hurt my mpfl (medial patellofemoral ligament). but my doc says it should heal without surgery.

how long will it take to heal?
once its healed when can i probably return to my sports?

The length of time it will take to heal depends on your activity level. If you rest the knee, and let it heal you are probably looking at about 4-6 weeks.

Give it 6-8 weeeks then return gradually to your sport. I hurt mine llast October and it took that time to heal before I got back to tennis. It still hurts occasionally but I can still play basketball.
