No, not at all. I switched to an Organic Peanut Butter, so its actually healthier and the good people of the organic food industry tend to sanitize a little better; seeing as that was the cause of the salmonella in the peter pan peanut butter and the Australia scare a few years back - mice feces at the packing section of the plant, of course it would be after the hot roasting furnace which should take care of all bacteria. Basically, it all comes down to people doing their jobs correctly and having pride in what they do. All of this could have been resolved if someone wasn't so lazy as to wipe down a peanut butter spill to ensure mice were not defecating on processed peanut butter.

I miss Peter Pan peanut butter!!! :( I can't wait until it's back on the shelves again!

I have a question: If I still have some Peter Pan peanut butter, could I use it t make peanut butter cookies? Doesn't the heat kill off the bateria? yes or no?

NO. I don't see why one brand's problems should impact what is happening with other brands. They are all made in different places so problems don't leap from one brand to the other. If you saw a TV newscast that said a Chevy had crashed would you decide to never ride in a Ford?

I hope she sues the hell out of the Peter Pan company but I am not going to give up Skippy because of that.

while i replaced right into a newborn I enjoyed peanut butter and jelly or peanut butter and bananas or all 3 together. when I have been given slightly older I kinda have been given far off from peanut butter and have never had a yearning for it. i think that i'm getting my protein from another source.

I was afraid before to eat peanut butter...I'm allergic to peanuts. ..But doesn't it seem like all the stuff being recalled is good for you...like spinich and apple cider and things like that ..... meanwhile all the crap is still out there.
