This is one of the most difficult things that faces anyone, and it faces a great many people.
The first requirement is to recognize certain personal habits as procrastination and become determined to change. If there is no real determination to succeed, then nothing will work.
The next step after that it to sit down and write out real plans for things that need to be done. Assign a specific and realistic timetable to each thing itemized. Leave room for comments.
Make copies of the timetable and
1-put them at points where they will be seen.
2-make an accompanying sheet and record progress on it.
This is a good start, but it has to continue, and you must change your habits, which have probably been with you for all of your lifetime.
Enforcing structure and adherence to a timetable will help to change life habits, but it may have to continue for some time before the new actions become your everyday standard.

I was the biggest procrastinator in the world. It is something that you will never overcome but you can get better at. When it started to hurt the relationship I had with my wife I got better. It's all about wanting to be better for either you or someone else.

By realizing that putting it off closer to its deadline will only make things worse. Do it, get done and move on. You never know what other tragedies, emergencies, or projects are going to come up in between now and the deadline of the project. You'll waste more time putting it off then you will if you just take an hour and get done with it. Remove yourself from distractions and to use my 2 favorite quotes:
"Just Do It"
"Git R Done"

At night I do as my dear mother advised me to and write down a list of things i need to do the next day, then I try to do them.
I tell myself before I go to bed that i should do those things
as I have a bad case of procrastination .i wish they could come up with a shot for that one day.
I try to have hopes and dreams of things I wish to accomplish.
without hopes and dreams life is not so good.
Give thanks for what you have and have goals for the future,
Good Luck.

I force myself to do things even though I really don't want to. I feel really accomplished once I finally do It.
