I was inspired to make an icon for a friend when I clicked on her myspace pictures to see the new ones, and just as I clicked to comment a picture of hers with a piano in it, some lyrics of a song by Go Fish I love played.

I am planning on using the keys of the piano as the background because there is just something about the lighting and coloration of the pic that I love. The text will be pink because she loves that color.

I want to do more than just stick text on an image. I want to make certain words stand out with animation and different fonts, but I'm not sure how. Is there any free online generator or whatever? I don't have photoshop, but I do have paint.net.

The capitalized words I want to stand out more

"From only 88 keys come endless POSSIBILITIES
And that's what AMAZES me" <---this last line will be at the bottom of the icon.

Sorry if this is confusing. I'll clarify more if I need to. Thanks for the help everyone.

What I want to do is make it so the text changes color like in this icon: http://iconator.com/icon.php?IconID=820659. I only really want that on "AMAZES"...and possibly "POSSIBILITIES"

Basically you'll need to make an Animated GIF file (since all you have is Paint). What you'll need is to download a program that will let you combine a series if images into one animation. There's a list here:

http://www.tucows.com/Windows/DesignTools/Image/ImageAnimation/

Most of them are shareware, but there are some free ones.

You would make several single images (eg: one with just the background, and then one with the background and the first set of text, and then another with the background and the second set of text) then use the GIF animation program to put them together and animate them to move.

Good luck!

*One* possibility (though primitive and without sound is aniedit.exe which I think comes with your base system, an animated cursor editor. (If it's not with your base system then it's likely available as a download from microsoft...I've had it for so long I forget where I got it, and it came along with imagedit.exe, a base primitive "one-frame" icon/cursor/bitmap editor)
