Of course.

BTW, do all of the Cons remember that it was the hated Washington Post that broke the story about Walter Reid? The Post is constantly bashed (by Limbaugh, O'Reilly and the other fools) as part of the "liberal media" and accused of being unpatriotic for actually questioning the Bush Administration.

But guess what, if it wasn't for the Washington Post, our troops would STILL have been living in these deplorable conditions. The big lumbering military bureauocracy didn't do a damn thing about the situation until they were shamed into it by the Post.

Where were Rush, Hannity and the Washington Times on this story? Too busy whining about the "liberal media" I guess.

I think you have a topic that has universal support...and it is getting handled. People have been relieved, fired and reassigned.

I will say this though. What civilians consider sub-standard can be considered nice in the military. More than once, I have lived in a barracks in the summer with no A/C...and some windows that were painted shut. They were pretty nice barracks though...and they did have heat.

Not to make any excuses for the military or walter reed hospital on this, just saying.

The problem is ALL MILITARY and VA hospitals deserve the proper funding. This is NOT an isolated incident. There are far worse hospitals if someone were to go looking.

I think we all can agree that vets deserve the best. It is criminal that Walter Reed was allowed to deteriorate.

Democrats agree, but republicans won't if it means having to admit that George W. Bush is a useless moron who has wasted hundreds of billions of dollars to make his friends rich, while cutting funding from education, the elderly, veterans, and the disabled.

Absolutely! What is happening is a disgrace.

I would like to see a full accounting of what went on.

This is one of the things I fear about government-run healthcare.

I might be off-topic, but I might not.

A private institution would have to answer to people much more quickly, I believe.

They better get it straightened out pronto. These guys should have the best of the best in care. Everyone else, me included, is second. These guys need to be rewarded and honored.

The republicans cut the V.A. funding and benefits every chance they get so they in practice do not agree.
