Suppose these ghosts we see are not from our past, but from the future. Could it possibly be a vortex point where connections between time periods are briefly intertwined? Or we could take this into a different perspective. Is it "BLEED-THROUGHS" from other planes of existence?

Get some thick paper and add some colored dye to it. Then sprinkle or spray water onto that...
That will give you the visual you need to help you understand.
This side of the paper being one state or condition or ayther, and the opposite side being the other. The ink being the thing itself that is bleeding through as a result of some outside influence (the water)
If you don't understand after that... Don't mess with the occult!

I would presume that the bleed-through in this reference might have to do with the quantum theory that reality consists of innumerable universes, slightly to vastly different from each other, which exist right along beside our universe, but usually do not intersect.
Did you ever watch Sliders? Basically, that's what they were talking about.
Essentially, that term would refer to accidental, perhaps incidental, contact between such diverse 'planes'--for want of a more evocative geometric analogy--of existence. Those other worlds.

Have you ever used a sharpie marker on a cheap piece of paper? you know how the ink goes through the paper, and can leave marks on the paper below? that is called Bleed-Through.
In this statement the ghosts are the images on the top piece of paper, and we live on the paper below, and see only what comes through the paper.

I would take it to mean:
Are these "ghosts" (i.e. the bleed-throughs) from a parallel dimension? In other words, these images are ethereal in nature to our current reality, thus the necessity of speculating from whence these images may originate from. These faint images of another reality have touched our own.
